Sam Lando launched his career in sales and marketing, working with prominent global wine producers. His travels introduced him to many New World wine producers, sparking a deep interest in winemaking and viticulture.
Sam's journey into winemaking began in a small hobbyist vineyard. This endeavor fueled his passion, particularly for Pinot Noir, motivating Sam and his wife Jennifer to establish their own winery, Lando Wines, in 2012. Describing their venture as a story of perseverance and resilience, Sam emphasized their commitment to crafting exceptional Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, embodying the pursuit of the American Dream against all odds.
Focused on producing intense yet elegant wines, Lando Wines sources grapes from the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast appellation. Through years of dedication, they have succeeded in creating wines that reflect their vision, which they proudly share with their friends and clients.
Lando Wines sells their wines by allocation through a mailing list. Their 2024 offering includes five limited-production Pinot Noirs and three Chardonnays from the 2022 vintage.
