#4 - A Journey Through Heritage: A Personal Kaiseki Experience

Slip into a world where food becomes poetry and each bite is a brushstroke on a canvas of tradition. This Lot is a rare invitation into the soul of Japanese culture through Kaiseki, considered by many to be the pinnacle of refined cuisine.

Originating in the imperial courts during the Heian period (794–1185), Kaiseki has evolved over the centuries and is now considered the haute cuisine of Japan. It is a multi-course experience that celebrates seasonality, precision, and beauty. Every dish is a revelation and a symphony of taste, texture, and color.

Served in the comfort of your own home, your Kaiseki experience will be personally curated by current parents and culinary enthusiasts Linda Wang and Albert Huntington. Albert learned the art of Japanese cooking from his mother, who was raised on a rice farm in Japan’s Niigata Prefecture, where cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients and using traditional methods was part of daily life.

Enjoy an exclusive twelve-course culinary journey for you and five guests, paired with premium wines from around the world, and rare Japanese sake. With each dish composed of seasonal ingredients, you will savor melt-in-your-mouth Japanese A5 Wagyu beef, pristine fish flown in from Toyosu Market in Tokyo—the largest and most revered fish market in the world—and delicate, rarely exported rice from Niigata Prefecture, showcasing a commitment to exceptional quality.

This indulgent meal is a celebration of craftsmanship and tradition, shared through every course. It’s a personal expression of Albert’s roots, offering a quiet glimpse into his heritage; an act of cultural storytelling that makes this experience a heartfelt and meaningful gift to our community.
